I'm a Rub-On Virgin no longer!

OK - it sounds dirty... but it's not. It all actually has a very fresh look about it! HA!

As a stamper and crafter I've never used rub-ons... for the other virgins out there... they're like fake tattoos or decals you rub on to just about any surface... and wow! What an affect they have!

This is a used bottle turned flower vase... and decorated with some of the sentiments from SU!'s "Cherished Memories" rub-on set that was unveiled in the Spring/Summer 2008 Idea Book!

Wow... can I just say, wow! I love these things!

Baby shower - thank you cards!

Today we are celebrating the soon-to-be arrival of baby boy London Aldous! He's just a few weeks away... and as is our tradition for expecting mother's, we will be gathering to shower the mom-to-be with baby presents! For baby showers my gift usually consists of Thank you cards - for the mom to use for the gifts she is receiving today.

The card uses some of my favs (colors, card stock and even a retired stamp set I can't let go of) ... wanted to share.

My Color Challenge results!

I just took part in a color challenge. And HAD to share the results. Here are the rules: I had to use Blush Blossom and Chocolate Chip together. I could add another color if I wanted - but it had to involve the first two colors. Here's the outcome!

So I finally had a chance to use my new "Time Well Spent" set! Double duty, baby! AND, I finished a card that needs to get in the mail - finally! (If anyone else is counting - that's THREE things accomplished in a half hour, with just one card!) Wow... if only I could multi-task like this all the time!
Details, details...
Stamp set: Time Well Spent, Happy Everything
Colors: Blush Blossom, Chocolate Chip, Bravo Burgundy, Confetti Cream
Technique: Crayons blended together on confetti cream paper

Christmas Thank you cards!

Well, I'm a big believer in Thank you cards - especially for Christmas presents! So many people put so much thought and planning into Christmas and finding the right gift. The least I can do is show how much I appreciate their work by sending a quick thank you card! Here's what I came up with this year. Somehow I over-planned for my Christmas cards and had a ton of extra "fronts" ... so I turned them into the "fronts" for our thank yous! THAT was easy... and ingenious on my part, if I do say so myself! HA!
